Buzz :: Atlanta Launch Party

Atlanta greeted the magazine with open arms
The Atlanta debut of flower magazine unfolded at the Atlanta Botanical Garden in the heart of Midtown on a balmy Wednesday night. Chuck Henry, floral master, created a towering flower made of flowers in the magazine’s signature colors that greeted the more than 300 guests as they entered the venue awash in lime green and bathed in flowers.

Max Leblanc and his team at Sun in My Belly catered a delicious feast of meatloaf sliders, gumbo, the emblematic flower-tini, chocolate-on-chocolate cupcakes and delectable fruits of the season. Flower arrangements by Larry Hammack and Gregory Brown, AIFD, of Foxgloves and Ivy, Amber Schoepp of Flower Bar, Amy Osaba, and Susan Sleeper of Little Sparrow Floral Design flanked the three piece jazz band led by Peter Graham.

In addition to their standout arrangement, Foxgloves and Ivy provided all the stunning floral designs gracing the tables around the room, using flowers donated from Flower Transfer in Miami, Florida.

Backlit by the fading sun streaming in the floor-to-ceiling windows, the varied creations of Dina Moore and Kurt Beals of Event Café, Darryl Wiseman of Darryl Wiseman Flowers, Mark Good and Scott Kennedy of markandscott, inc., and John Grady Burns led the way to the garden and outdoor cocktail/beverage bar.

As the three-hour flower fest came to a close, guests began their return home, taking with them a variety of flowers and the flower goody bag as mementos.
