  • NASHVILLE, TN - The American Impressionists in the Garden: Through September 6, 2010
    Plan on spending at least one summer day indoors at the Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum to admire artists’ renderings of the great outdoors. The American Impressionists in the Garden is a special exhibit that focuses on gardens represented in late 19th and early 20th century art. Browse through European Gardens, American Gardens, and Garden Sculpture, all created by Americans here or abroad.     “Art en Fleurs” (or, Art in Flowers) only comes around every three years at the Boerner Botanical Garden.     With more than 400 different floral arrangements featuring the beautiful dahlia and close to 40 acres of blooms, Swan Island’s annual festival is definitely worth the trip! Floral demonstrations and dahlia talks take place twice a day each day of the festival. Admisson is free, and visitors are also welcome to take home cut dahlias. Can’t make the two festival times?
